Chickenpox Test (Varicella Titer Test)
The Chickenpox Test (Varicella Titer Test) can confirm if you’ve ever been infected with varicella zoster virus (VZV). VZV infection can cause both varicella (chickenpox) and herpes zoster (shingles). After you have chickenpox, the virus stays inactive in your body and can reactivate as shingles later in life. This test identifies antibodies that your immune system produced in response to an VZV infection. If you need to determine the vaccination status for yourself or your child, please contact your healthcare provider. This Chickenpox Test may be right if you or your child are:
Unsure if you’ve had chickenpox or shingles in the past
Attending a school or working at a job that requires proof of immunity from previous VZV infection from chickenpox or shingles
This test is not right if you or your child are:
Sick and want to confirm an active chickenpox or shingles VZV infection
Interested in proof of immunity from chickenpox or shingles vaccination

Cholesterol & Lipid Panel
(Total CHOL, LDL, HDL & Triglycerides)
Total cholesterol is the total amount of cholesterol in your blood. Having high total cholesterol can lead to hardening of your arteries, which increases your risk for a heart attack. This test can help you make informed decisions to keep your heart healthy. Your total cholesterol is the sum of your low-density lipoprotein (LDL, or “bad”) cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein (HDL, or “good”) cholesterol, and is reported as the total cholesterol number. This test may be helpful for those who:
Have never checked total cholesterol levels or haven't checked them in several years
Have a family history of high cholesterol or heart disease
Have high blood pressure
Have diabetes
Are overweight or obese
Eat a diet high in fat, processed foods, or sugar
Don't get enough physical activity
Smoke or use tobacco
To receive individual LDL and HDL levels please see our Cholesterol Test Panel. Fasting is strongly recommended, but not required for this test for 8-12 hours before your appointment. Fasting before a blood draw means you don't eat or drink anything except water.

Complete Blood Count (CBC Blood Test)
This common blood test screens for a variety of health conditions. By evaluating the 3 types of cells in your blood—red, white, and platelets—it can help detect possible infections, inflammation, and more. Red blood cells carry oxygen throughout your body. Abnormal levels can help identify conditions such as anemia, malnutrition, leukemia, and others. White blood cells are an important part of your immune system, and abnormal levels may mean your body is fighting an infection. Platelets help your blood clot normally. This test does not require fasting.

COVID-19 Active Infection
This COVID-19 test is an anterior nares (nasal) swab collection kit with in-person and at-home collection options:
In-person: a healthcare professional will observe while you complete the self-collection process yourself inside the location or in your vehicle.
At-home kit: a self-collection kit will be sent via FedEx® at no additional charge. Detailed instructions on how to collect your sample are included in the kit alongside a prepaid FedEx overnight shipping label and envelope.
If you are purchasing testing on behalf of a child, you as the parent or legal guardian must supervise, and can help assist with, the sample collection. This test does not require fasting.
This test is authorized by the FDA under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).
a
This COVID-19 test may be helpful for those who:
Currently have symptoms of COVID-19
Live or work in a place where people reside, meet, or gather in close proximity (this can include healthcare settings, homeless shelters, assisted living facilities, group homes, prisons, detention centers, schools, and workplaces)
Have been in close contact with someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19
Have been identified as someone who should get tested by an employer, public health department, contact investigator, or healthcare provider
Are visiting a place that requires testing prior to arrival
Do not have symptoms or known exposure to COVID-19, but who are unknowingly infected
This COVID-19 test may not be helpful for those who:
Currently have severe symptoms that limit daily activities. Seek medical attention right away if this is the case.
b
Have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 3 months. When you test positive, you will not need to be tested again for 3 months as long as you do not develop new symptoms.
This test is not intended for individuals who are on blood thinners or have had a previous trauma to their nose. This test is not intended for children with chronic illnesses (eg, asthma, kidney disease, heart conditions, sickle cell disease, etc). If your child has an underlying medical condition or if your child’s condition changes before you are able to obtain the test or the test result, please follow-up with your child’s healthcare provider for additional information about testing.
c
Understanding Results
After receiving results, you will have an opportunity to speak with a licensed physician who can answer any questions you may have and help determine next steps in care. If results are positive, it is important to contact your healthcare provider immediately, self-isolate, and monitor symptoms. If results are negative, the individual was most likely not infected with COVID-19 at the time of sample collection. In some cases, there is not enough SARS-CoV-2 RNA in the sample to detect the virus. This can happen in a percentage of cases during the different stages of infection. If symptoms are present, it is important to follow up with a healthcare provider for further evaluation and to take protective measures to avoid infecting others.
You May Qualify for Treatment
Monoclonal Antibodies (mAb) help the immune system recognize and respond more effectively to COVID-19. In high-risk patients, Monoclonal Antibody Treatment has been shown to decrease the severity of COVID-19 symptoms and reduce the rate of hospitalization.* mAb treatment has the most clinical benefit during the earliest stages of infection. All those who receive a positive COVID-19 molecular test result through QuestDirect will receive a call from PWN. During this call, PWN can evaluate eligibility and, if appropriate, offer to prescribe treatment. This treatment option is most appropriate for high-risk individuals who test positive for COVID-19 and who have had mild to moderate symptoms for no longer than 10 days from onset of symptoms.
The FDA has issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) to permit mAb products for the treatment of mild-to-moderate COVID-19.
About COVID-19
COVID-19 is highly contagious. Cases of COVID-19 range from mild to severe. Most people infected with this virus have mild symptoms. Some people who are infected don’t have any symptoms and don’t feel sick but can still transmit the virus to others. More severe cases of COVID-19 have been seen in older adults and those with weakened immune systems or pre-existing health issues; however, serious illness can also occur in younger adults. While fewer children have been sick with COVID-19 compared to adults, they can also be infected and serious illness can occur. For more information on COVID-19 and Quest COVID-19 testing, please visit Other helpful resources include:
Fees and Payment
Individuals may have COVID-19 testing fully paid by their health plan or the government. If you are looking for that option, visit or contact your healthcare provider. Individuals also have the right to have testing without submitting to insurance or the government for reimbursement. With Orange County Labs, you can purchase this testing online. This option is only for individuals who want to pay directly for the testing and do not plan to seek reimbursement.

a
This test has been authorized by the FDA under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). This means that while Quest Diagnostics has validated the test and has the data to believe the test and the collection kit are accurate, this test has not been FDA-cleared or -approved; This test has been authorized by FDA under an EUA for use by authorized laboratories; this test has been authorized only for the detection of nucleic acid from SARS-CoV-2, not for any other viruses or pathogens; and, this test is only authorized for the duration of the declaration that circumstances exist justifying the authorization of emergency use on in vitro diagnostics for detection and/or diagnosis of COVID-19 under Section 564(B)(1) of the Act, 21 U.S.C. § 360BBB-3(B)(1), unless the authorization is terminated or revoked sooner. Additional studies need to be conducted for this test and others like it to be FDA cleared or approved.
b
Severe symptoms may include, but are not limited to, persistent fever (lasting longer than 48 hours) greater than 102 °F or a persistent low-grade fever, severe shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, continuous pain or pressure in the chest, severe coughing spells or coughing up blood, abdominal (gut) pain, neck pain, rash, bloodshot eyes, irregular heartbeat, confusion, blue lips or face, dizziness, lightheadedness, feeling too weak to stand, feeling very tired or lethargic, slurred speech or seizures, persistent vomiting or diarrhea, or feeling not well enough to stay home.
c
There are many causes of fever, cough, and shortness of breath. COVID-19 is just one condition that may cause these symptoms. This test does not rule out the possibility of other illnesses and infections that may be present instead of or in addition to COVID-19.

COVID-19 and Flu Test
The COVID-19 and Flu Test detects RNA from 3 viruses (COVID-19, influenza A, and influenza B) with just 1 nasal swab. Because some of the symptoms of COVID-19 and flu are similar but treated differently testing helps identify which virus you may have. You can also be infected with both flu and COVID-19 at the same time. Both COVID-19 and flu can have symptoms that range from none (asymptomatic) to severe. Symptoms that are common to both illnesses include:
Fever or feeling feverish/having chills
Cough
Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
Fatigue (tiredness)
Stuffy or runny nose
Sore throat
Muscle pain or body ache
Headache
Diarrhea and vomiting
Loss of or change in taste or smell (more frequent with COVID-19)
Not everyone with one of these infections will present all symptoms
The COVID-19 and Flu Test is a molecular or nucleic acid test (for example “PCR” test), which checks for genetic material (viral RNA) produced by the virus. This test uses a nasal swab collection kit, which is authorized by the FDA under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), and will be used to test for COVID-19, an illness caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, as well as influenza A and B. The test does not check for influenza C.
Your appointment
Your appointment will be for observed self-collection of a nasal swab sample at a drive-thru location. You’ll swab your nose while in your vehicle, observed by a trained healthcare professional to ensure the sample is collected correctly. Then you’ll drop the sealed sample into a container on your way out of the drive-thru location. Appointments are required to complete your purchase. Drive-thru locations may be limited or unavailable in some areas, and collection hours may vary by location. You don’t need to do anything to prepare for the test, such as fasting or not taking medications. Additional instructions will be provided during your appointment.
This test may be helpful if:
You are experiencing symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, tiredness, body or muscle aches, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, and/or runny or stuffy nose
You live or work in a place where people reside, meet, or gather in close proximity (this can include healthcare settings, homeless shelters, assisted living facilities, group homes, prisons, detention centers, schools, and workplaces)
You have been in close contact with someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19
Your employer, public health department, contact investigator, or healthcare provider has identified you as someone who should get tested
You are trying to determine if a prior infection with COVID-19 has resolved
This test may not be helpful if you:
Currently have severe symptoms that limit your daily activities. Seek medical attention right away if this is the case
Have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 3 months. When you test positive, you will not need to be tested again for 3 months, as long as you do not develop new symptoms. For some individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19, parts of the virus may continue to be in their samples for up to 3 months, although they may not be contagious during this time
Do not have symptoms and none of the above statements apply to you
About COVID-19
COVID-19 is highly contagious. Cases of COVID-19 range from mild to severe. Most people infected with this virus have mild symptoms. Some people who are infected don’t have any symptoms and don’t feel sick but can still transmit the virus to others. More severe cases of COVID-19 have been seen in older adults and those with weakened immune systems or pre-existing health issues. However, serious illness can also occur in younger adults.
About the flu
Flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by the influenza A and B viruses. It infects the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs. There are 2 main types of influenza (flu) viruses: Types A and B. Some people, such as those who are 65 or older, young children, and people with certain health conditions, such as asthma and diabetes, are at higher risk of serious flu complications.
IMPORTANT
: Please seek immediate medical care if you have signs of a serious medical condition. These include, but are not limited to, persistent fever (lasting longer than 48 hours) greater than 102 °F or a persistent low-grade fever, severe shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, continuous pain or pressure in the chest, severe coughing spells or coughing up blood, irregular heartbeat, confusion, blue lips or face, dizziness, lightheadedness, feeling too weak to stand, feeling very tired or lethargic, slurred speech or seizures, persistent vomiting or diarrhea, or feeling not well enough to stay home.

Environmental Allergy Test
Do you have allergy symptoms suspect something indoors could be the cause? Our Indoor Allergy Test Panel measures your immune system response to specific indoor allergens. This panel measures immune response to cockroach, cat dander, dog dander, American house dust mite, European house dust mite, Tropical and sub-tropical (Blomia tropicalis) house dust mite, fungus, penicillin fungus, aspergillus fungus, Cladosporium mold, goose feathers, and house dust, and can help identify if you have an allergic reaction to these common indoor allergens. Millions of people live year-round with uncomfortable symptoms caused by indoor allergens such as dust mite droppings, mold, and animal dander. Allergens from pets can accumulate on furniture and other surfaces and retain their potency for long periods. Although pet hair is not an allergen, it can collect dander (skin flakes), urine, saliva, dust, and pollen, all of which may cause an allergic reaction. Additionally, dust within a home or another indoor environment may contain dust mite and cockroach particles, animal dander, mold spores, and other allergens Our Indoor Allergy Test Panel measures the levels of specific IgE antibodies in your blood. When you are exposed to an allergen, your immune system activates the release of too much of the antibody IgE. IgE activation acuases the release of a substance called histamine, which causes an allergic reaction. IgE antibodies are normally found in small amounts in the blood, but higher amounts can be a sign that the body overreacts to allergens. Having IgE antibodies, along with alergic symptoms, may indicate an allergy. If you are affected by allergies, chances are that you understand the symptoms all too well. However, reactions may be dependent on your specific allergy type. Our Indoor Allergen Test Panel may be helpful in identifying if you have had or currently have an allergic reaction to specific indoor allergens. You may have experienced or experience any of the following signs and symptoms:
Sneezing
Irritated eyes characterized by swelling, redness, watering, scratchiness, itching, and/or puffiness
Congestion
Stuffy or runny nose
Itchy nose, ears, or mouth
Headache
Fatigue
Chest tightness
Wheezing
Increased asthma symptoms
PLEASE NOTE This test reports the presence of lgE(s) antibodies to indoor allergens, but the result by itself cannot confirm the presence of the allergy. It’s important to follow up with your healthcare provider or an allergy specialist. They will review your results along with your medical history, signs and symptoms, medications, and any other test results. Only a healthcare provider can diagnose an allergy and prescribe medication, if needed.

Food Allergy Test
Do you have allergy symptoms and suspect certain foods might be the cause? Our Food Allergy Test Panel measures your immune system response to specific food proteins, which can be part of helping to determine whether you have an allergy. Our Food Allergy Test Panel measures the levels of specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies in your blood. These antibodies are an immune response to specific food allergens. IgE antibodies are normally found in small amounts in the blood, but higher amounts can be a sign of allergy. This panel includes:
Almond
Cashew nut
Codfish
Cow’s milk
Egg white
Hazelnut
Peanut
Salmon
Scallop
Sesame seed
Shrimp
Soybean
Tuna
Walnut
Wheat
Higher levels of IgEs can be detected whether or not you have recently eaten the particular food. A food allergy is a common type of allergy and can cause serious allergic reactions in some people. Peanut allergies, in particular, can cause a severe, life-threatening response. If someone with a food allergy eats or comes across products containing those specific food proteins your immune system activates the release of too much of the antibody IgE. IgE activation causes the release of a substance called histamine, which causes an allergic reaction. Individuals allergic to one type of food may not necessarily have an allergy to other foods. PLEASE NOTE: This test reports the presence of lgE(s) antibodies to food allergens, but the result by itself cannot confirm the presence of the allergy. It’s important to follow up with your healthcare provider or an allergy specialist. They will review your results along with your medical history, signs and symptoms, medications, and any other test results. Only a healthcare provider can diagnose an allergy and prescribe medication, if needed.

Glucose Level Blood Test
The Hemoglobin A1c test is the most widely used test to measure blood sugar levels over time. It identifies average blood sugar (glucose) levels over the past 2-3 months, so you can track your progress in managing your diabetes. Glucose blood levels are tightly controlled by hormones like insulin produced by the pancreas. Consistently high blood glucose is typically seen in individuals with uncontrolled or undiagnosed diabetes. In people with diabetes, insulin is either less effective or not produced in sufficient quantity, thus making it harder to manage the amount of sugar passing through the blood. This test is used to help diagnose conditions that result in too much sugar in the blood, such as diabetes, prediabetes, and gestational diabetes. Common signs of high blood sugar levels include increased thirst, increased hunger, frequent urination, fatigue, blurry vision, darkened areas of the folds in the skin (often found in the armpits, groin, and/or neck), and weight loss. This test may be appropriate for those who are looking to manage their diabetes or prediabetes or those at higher risk for developing insulin resistance. You may also consider this test if you are overweight or obese, and/or have certain risk factors, including if you:
Are age 35 or older
Are of American Indian, African American, Latino, Asian American, or Pacific Islander race or ethnicity
Have a family history (parent or sibling) of Type 2 diabetes
Have a history of heart disease or stroke
Have high blood pressure
Have low HDL cholesterol (the “good” cholesterol) and/or high triglyceride level
Are physically inactive
Have polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
Have a history of gestational diabetes
Are living with HIV
The Hemoglobin A1c Test does not require fasting.

Gluten Allergy Test Panel
These tests can help determine if you have celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder in which the body attacks itself with its own antibodies. With celiac, the ingestion of gluten (a protein found in wheat and barley) triggers an immune response which means that your own immune system attacks your small intestine. These tests check for certain antibodies (transglutaminase IgA and others) that your immune system would create if it were hypersensitive to gluten. For accurate results, your diet should include gluten at the time of testing. You might consider testing when experiencing the following: • Digestive problems including abdominal pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea, weight loss, or foul-smelling stool • Unexplained rash, joint symptoms, or anemia Test should not be ordered if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: • Blood in your stool or a medical condition requiring immediate medical attention • Fever, night sweats, or flushing This test does not require fasting.

If left untreated, these STDs can lead to serious complications like infertility and ectopic pregnancy. Gonorrhea and chlamydia may be cured in almost all cases with the right treatment. You might consider testing if: • Have had unprotected sex or do not speak to your partners about their STD status • Have multiple sex partners or learn your partner has an STD • Are a woman and have symptoms including pain or burning when urinating, increased/abnormal vaginal discharge, or abdominal pain or bleeding between periods. • Are a man and have symptoms including burning after urination or ejaculation, itching of the penis, white, yellow, or green discharge from the penis, or swollen testicles. • Have rectal symptoms including discharge, anal itching, soreness, bleeding, or painful bowel movements. Symptoms in the mouth can occur if you have engaged in oral sexual activity. • Previously had a negative test but are still experiencing symptoms. You may want to consider taking the test again since the average period for detecting chlamydia/gonorrhea is 2-6 days, but can be up to 30 days. • Are sexually active and have tested positive for chlamydia or gonorrhea in the past (up to 25% of women treated for chlamydia get reinfected within three to six months. Gonorrhea can also recur and may require retesting). • Are a man who has sex with men • Share or have shared injection drug equipment • Are pregnant This test does not require fasting. After your results are ready, you’ll have the option to talk with an independent physician. Together, you’ll come up with a personalized plan that best supports your health. If medication is a part of the plan, your prescription can be sent to the pharmacy of your choice.

Herpes Test (Herpes Simplex 1 & 2)
This test screens for herpes, an STD that can cause painful sores around the mouth or genitals. The test checks for both types of herpes: herpes type-1 most often causes oral herpes and herpes type-2 most often causes genital herpes, although herpes type-1 is responsible for an increasing proportion of genital infections. Although there is no cure for herpes, treatment can help relieve the symptoms and prevent future episodes. This test may be useful if you: - want to determine if you have developed antibodies for either HSV-1 or HSV-2 - are a person with recurrent genital symptoms - have a prior clinical diagnosis of genital herpes without laboratory confirmation - are a person whose partner has known genital herpes - are a person with multiple sex partners - are a person with a HIV infection - are a man who have sex with men Please note: Herpes Simplex Virus – 2 serologic screening is not recommended among the general population. Additionally, if an active lesion (sore) is present, please seek further testing from your doctor as direct detection of virus (by methods such a culture, PCR, or DFA) is preferred. About 70% of adults have been infected by HSV-1 and have antibodies against the virus. About 20 to 50% of adults will have antibodies against the HSV-2 virus. HSV stays in your system once you have been infected. It may be "asleep" (dormant), and cause no symptoms, or it may flare up and cause symptoms. This test cannot tell whether you are having a flare-up. Positive results can be seen in persons who have never had symptoms. In addition, a negative result does not rule out infection with HSV. This test does not require fasting. After your results are ready, you’ll have the option to talk with an independent physician. Together, you’ll come up with a personalized plan that best supports your health. If medication is a part of the plan, your prescription can be sent to the pharmacy of your choice.

HIV Test (HIV 1 & 2 with Confirmation)
This test screens for HIV, an STD that can lead to AIDS if not treated. HIV is a virus that weakens your immune system by destroying important cells that fight disease and infection. If you’re sexually active, it’s important to know your HIV status so you don’t infect others. There is no cure for HIV, but it can be controlled with treatment. You might consider testing if: • Are 65 years of age or younger • Have been exposed or are at risk of exposure • Want to get screened to know your status Annual testing is recommended if you: • Are a man who has sex with men • Have had more than one sex partner since your last test • Have had sex with an HIV-positive person • Use/have used needles for drug injection • Have exchanged sex for drugs or money • Have had another STD since your last test • Have hepatitis or tuberculosis (TB) • Are pregnant Most people with HIV do not initially have symptoms. Those with symptoms may experience flu-like symptoms including fever, chills, rash, night sweats, muscle aches, sore throat, fatigue, swollen lymph nodes, or mouth ulcers lasting 1-2 weeks. If you previously had a negative test but are still experiencing symptoms, you may want to consider taking the test again since the average window period for tests to detect HIV is 3-12 weeks. This test does not require fasting.
Note:
• If you have any questions, before or after the HIV test, you can contact PWN Health’s Care Coordination Team by calling (855) 205-6146 Monday – Friday / 9:00am – 5:30pm EST. • The results of this test may be confusing, it is important to speak with a healthcare professional or qualified personnel to understand the results. • If you believe you have recently been exposed and need immediate access to testing or support you should contact CDC using any of the following options: 1-800-CDC-INFO (232-4636), Gettested.cdc.gov, or Text your ZIP code to KNOW IT (566948) for emergency instant testing.

Lead Test
The Lead Test measures the blood levels of lead through a venipuncture draw (a needle is used to draw blood from a vein). Lead is a toxic metal that can damage the brain, organs, and nervous system. Children are at particular risk of being harmed from lead exposure because their bodies are developing rapidly and able to absorb lead more easily than older children and adults. Further, young children have increased exposure to lead due to crawling on surfaces and repeatedly putting their hands and other items in their mouths. Any lead exposure can cause harm in children. Symptoms of lead exposure may include weakness, a decrease in the oxygen-carrying component of red blood cells (anemia), nausea, headaches, fatigue, and additional symptoms. While the most common sources of lead exposure are lead-based paint and contaminated dust in older buildings, exposure can also come from contaminated air, water, and soil. This test may be appropriate for those who:
Are 12 months of age and have not received screening at least once before
a,b
Have never checked their lead levels or haven't been checked in several years
May have been exposed to lead or live with a family member who was exposed to lead
For those who may be exhibiting any signs and symptoms of lead toxicity, it is important to contact a healthcare provider immediately. The Lead Test does not require fasting.

Lipid Panel
(HDL, LDL, CHOL & Risk Ratio, Triglycerides)
The Cholesterol Test Panel can help evaluate the health of your heart and arteries. The panel measures lipids: LDL (bad) cholesterol, HDL (good) cholesterol, and triglycerides (the fat in blood). The results can be an important part of evaluating your overall health. High lipid levels usually have no symptoms, and some people can have high lipid levels for years without knowing it. That's why it's so important to get tested regularly. Fasting for 8-12 hours before the appointment is strongly recommended, but not required. Fasting before having your blood drawn means that you don't eat or drink anything except water. This test may be helpful for those who:
Have never checked your lipid levels or haven't checked them in several years
Have a family history of high cholesterol or heart disease
Have high blood pressure
Have diabetes
Are overweight or obese

Lyme Disease Test
The Lyme Disease Test screens for Lyme disease, a bacterial infection caused by the bite of an infected tick that carries the bacteria
Borrelia burgdorferi
. A bulls eye rash greater than the size of a quarter appears in only 70% of people that are infected with Lyme disease. Lyme disease season typically begins in April and goes through November. Lyme disease is regularly found and more prevalent in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Campers, hikers and people who work in gardens and other leafy outdoor venues are at the greatest risk for tick bites. Your risk may also be higher if you live or have traveled to a state where Lyme disease is more prevalent.
How this test works
This Lyme Disease blood test screens for immunoglobulin M (IgM) and immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies. These are antibodies produced by the body to fight infection to the bacterium that causes Lyme disease. In order for Lyme disease to be transmitted, an infected tick needs to be attached to the host for 36 to 48 hours. Untreated Lyme disease can produce a wide range of symptoms depending on the stage of infection. Seek medical attention if you are having heart or neurologic symptoms, especially if you have had a tick bite, live in an area known for Lyme disease, or have recently traveled to an area where Lyme disease occurs. After your results are ready, you’ll have the option to talk with an independent physician. Together, you’ll come up with a personalized plan that best supports your health. If medication is a part of the plan, your prescription can be sent to the pharmacy of your choice.
This test may be appropriate if you:
Spent time in an area where Lyme disease is more prevalent (listed above)
Have been in outdoor areas where ticks live (e.g. the woods)
Are experiencing symptoms such as rash, fever, chills, headache, fatigue, muscle and joint aches and swollen lymph nodes.
If you are experiencing heart or neurologic symptoms, please seek medical attention.
This test is not appropriate if:
The tick bite occurred within the past 2-3 weeks (too soon to test)
There are no symptoms present
Symptoms:
Early signs & symptoms (3-30 days after tick bite)
Fever, chills, headache, fatigue, muscle and joint aches, and swollen lymph nodes
Erythema migrans (EM) rash or bulls-eye rash– 70% of cases
Later Signs and Symptoms (days to months after tick bite)
Neurologic
Severe headaches and neck stiffness
Facial palsy (loss of muscle tone or droop on one or both sides of the face)
Shooting pains, numbness, or tingling in the hands or feet
Problems with short-term memory
Heart
Heart palpitations or an irregular heart beat
Other
Additional EM rashes on other areas of the body
Arthritis with severe joint pain and swelling, particularly the knees and other large joints.
Intermittent pain in tendons, muscles, joints, and bones
Episodes of dizziness or shortness of breath
If you are experiencing heart or neurologic symptoms, please seek medical attention.

Nut Allergy Test Panel
Do you have allergy symptoms and suspect nuts might be the cause? Our Nut Allergy Test Panel measures your immune system response to specific nut proteins, which can be part of helping to determine whether you have an allergy. Our Nut Allergy Test Panel measures the levels of specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies in your blood. These antibodies are an immune response to specific nut and tree nut allergens. IgE antibodies are normally found in small amounts in the blood, but higher amounts can be a sign of allergy. This panel includes:
Almond
Brazil nut
Cashew nut
Hazelnut
Macadamia nut
Peanut
Pecan nut
Pistachio
Walnut
Higher levels of IgEs can be detected whether or not you have recently eaten the particular food. A nut allergy is a common type of food allergy and can cause serious allergic reactions in some people. Peanut allergies, in particular, can cause a severe, life-threatening response. If someone with a nut or peanut allergy eats or comes across products containing nut or tree nut proteins your immune system activates the release of too much of the antibody IgE. IgE activation causes the release of a substance called histamine, which causes an allergic reaction. Peanuts are not the same as tree nuts. The proteins found in peanuts differ from those found in tree nuts. Tree nuts include almonds, Brazil nuts, cashew nuts, hazelnuts, pecan nuts, pistachios, and walnuts. Individuals allergic to one tree nut may not necessarily have an allergy to all tree nuts. While peanuts and tree nuts are not the same, individuals with an allergy to peanuts may have an allergic reaction similar to those with an allergy to tree nuts. PLEASE NOTE: This test reports the presence of lgE(s) antibodies to nut allergens, but the result by itself cannot confirm the presence of the allergy. It’s important to follow up with your healthcare provider or an allergy specialist. They will review your results along with your medical history, signs and symptoms, medications, and any other test results. Only a healthcare provider can diagnose an allergy and prescribe medication, if needed.

Tree Pollen Allergy Test Panel
Are you experiencing allergy symptoms and suspect tree pollens could be the cause? Consider our Tree Pollen Test Panel to measure allergen-specific immunoglobulin E (IgE), an antibody produced in the blood in response to specific tree pollen allergens. Our Tree Pollen Test Panel measures the level of specific IgE antibodies in your blood that activate an immune response to specific tree pollen allergens. This includes antibodies to maple, birch, mountain cedar, oak, elm, walnut, sycamore, cottonwood, white ash, white mulberry, pecan/hickory, olive, and acacia. Pollen is a dust-like substance that helps plants reproduce by being carried from one plant to another by wind, birds, animals, or insects. Although this is a necessary process for plant reproduction, it can make life difficult for those affected by allergies, especially during pollination season. Your immune system produces antibodies against infections, toxins, bacteria, and viruses as it works to keep your body healthy. These antibodies detect and eliminate harmful foreign substances from your body. However, when you have a tree pollen allergy, your body produces antibodies that incorrectly identify these substances as harmful. Antibodies are bound to certain white blood cells (called mast cells). Mast cells bind to antigens to remove them from the body, yet in the process, they are stimulated to release histamine. Different white blood cells known as eosinophils and basophils are also activated by and home in on inflammatory sites, contributing to an allergic response triggered by tree pollen exposure. Symptoms of an allergic reaction to tree pollen may include fatigue, swelling of the eyes, sneezing, headache, and itching of the throat, eyes, nose, and/or mouth. Allergies can be challenging, so it's important to identify which allergens may trigger an allergic response. Our Tree Pollen Test Panel may be helpful in identifying if you have had or currently have an allergic reaction to tree pollens. You may have experienced or experience any of the following signs and symptoms:
Sneezing
Irritated eyes characterized by swelling, redness, watering, scratchiness, itching, and/or puffiness
Congestion
Stuffy or runny nose
Itchy nose, ears, or mouth
Headache
Fatigue
Chest tightness
Wheezing
Increased asthma symptoms

Vitamin B12 Blood Test
B12 is a vitamin that is necessary for normal red blood cell (RBC) formation, neurologic function, and DNA production. B12 must be supplied by the diet or supplementation because the body is not able to produce it. People who are deficient in Vitamin B12 may not have any symptoms or may present with symptoms of anemia or nerve damage. General symptoms related to anemia and nerve damage include fatigue, weakness, difficulty concentrating, depression, numbness or tingling in the hands and feet, headaches, moodiness, and gastrointestinal symptoms. Some people may not have all or any of these symptoms but still have deficiency. Early detection is important to prevent irreversible damage over time, especially to the nervous system. Generally, people who are likely to have a B12 deficiency have:
Problems absorbing the vitamin
Poor or restricted nutritional intake
Interference from a medication they are taking
Increased energy requirements (eg, pregnancy)
This test may be appropriate for those who:
Have a disorder that causes decreased absorption of certain vitamins or minerals
Have a diet low in vitamin B12-rich foods (dairy, eggs, fish, poultry, or red meat)
Are at risk for gastrointestinal absorption problems such as celiac disease, Crohn disease, partial bowel removal, pernicious anemia, atrophic gastritis
Are pregnant or nursing
Are 65 years and older
Are a recent alcohol abuser
Taking certain medications: long-term use of antacid drugs (proton pump inhibitor and H2 blockers), metformin (a diabetes medication) and chloramphenicol (an antibiotic)
The Vitamin B12 Test does not require fasting.

Vitamin D Test
The Vitamin D Test measures levels of vitamin D, a key nutrient for bone strength and overall health. Your body produces vitamin D after exposure to sunlight or from consuming certain foods and supplements. Because it enables your body to absorb calcium, vitamin D is essential for healthy bones and also helps the immune system fight infections. This test may be right for those who:
Have a diet low in vitamin D rich foods such as egg yolks, fish such as herring, mackerel, and salmon, liver and organ meats, Vitamin D-fortified milk, orange juice, and cereals, and dairy products such as yogurt and cheese
Have low exposure to sunlight
Have a darker skin complexion
Are overweight or obese
Abnormal vitamin D levels may have no symptoms, and some people can have abnormal vitamin D levels for years without knowing it. Some symptoms of low vitamin D levels include depression, fatigue, joint or muscle pain, and weakness. Low vitamin D levels can also affect organs and body functions including bone health, metabolism, heart health, and immune health. The Vitamin D Test does not require fasting.

Weed and Grass Allergy Test Panel
Are you experiencing allergy symptoms and suspect weeds and/or grasses could be the cause? Consider our Weed and Grass Allergy Test Panel to measure allergen-specific immunoglobulin E (IgE), an antibody produced in the blood in response to specific weed and grass allergens. Our Weed and Grass Allergy Test Panel measures the level of specific IgE antibodies in your blood that activate an immune response to specific weed and grass allergens. This includes antibodies Russian thistle, giant ragweed, nettle, rough marsh elder, sheep sorrel, mugwort, common ragweed, Bermuda grass, rough pigweed, timothy grass, Johnson grass, perennial rye grass, and bahia grass. Weeds and grasses are common causes of allergy-related symptoms. They produce small, light, and dry allergenic pollen grains that travel by the wind. Your immune system produces antibodies against infections, toxins, bacteria, and viruses as it works to keep your body healthy. These antibodies detect and eliminate harmful foreign substances from your body. However, when you have a weed or grass allergy, your body produces antibodies that incorrectly identify these substances as harmful. If you are affected by allergies, chances are that you understand the associated symptoms all too well. However, reactions may be dependent on your specific allergy type. Our Weed and Grass Allergy Test Panel may be helpful in identifying if you have had or currently have an allergic reaction to weed and grass. You may have experienced or experience any of the following signs and symptoms:
Sneezing
Irritated eyes characterized by swelling, redness, watering, scratchiness, itching, and/or puffiness
Congestion
Stuffy or runny nose
Itchy nose, ears, or mouth
